George took over as the coach of the MVLA Clash, then a U16 boys team,  
which had been stuck at the Silver level for many years.  With George's
enthusiasm, passion for the game, and coaching skills, Clash has
moved up four divisions to the very top division, the California
Regional League (CRL) in only four seasons.

Just want to let you know that at today's party, there were a number of parents who  were full of praise and appreciation for your work with their boys and for what you are teaching them, and parents who reported also said how much their sons enjoy having you as a coach. And you will be pleased to hear that during the last hour of the party, the last handful of boys were happily scrimmaging in the dark at the front yard.

My favorite thing about George is that he brings nothing but love for a sport that he knows as well as anyone else on the planet.  Whether he is working with next year's national team players or a bunch of recreational players, he can bring out their best. George has run clinics for two teams I manage and as our individual and team skills are enhanced the teams invariably win more.  Everything simply starts coming together!

Even for recreational athletes, regular training is important to prevent injury and establish fitness.  These two things will help any team win regardless of the level of play.  On top of all that, George has become a great friend.
